Summary

Older brothers are the worst。 Older brother's best friends, however, are the BEST。 Except when they don't seem to return your feelings。。。 My crush on my brother's best friend, Mason, has grown into something totally unmanageable over the years。 In fact, I'm pretty sure it's not a crush at all, but something bigger I'd rather not name。And while I know Mason cares about me, I don't think he cares the way I WISH he would。That is, unless my overbearing and uber protective brother has been standing in the way。When Mason and I find ourselves sharing my brother's loft while he's gone, the dynamics start to shift。 Sharing a space with your (possibly) unrequited crush is its own special kind of challenge。But just maybe while the cat (aka my brother) is away, the mice (aka Mason and me) will finally get a chance to play???Falling for Your Brother's Best Friend is a grumpy sunshine, roommates romcom that takes place in the Love Clichés world, right alongside Falling for Your Best Friend。 You'll find characters to love, sizzling chemistry, and closed door romance。

At, first I forgot about Chelsea and I didn't remember until her date with Chase。 So, for the first part of the book I was wondering why Emma added this random girl。 I loved Mason's personality, he had a hard past and when he opened up with Chelsea about his Mom my heart pretty much melted。 Chelsea was so funny and I loved her clumsiness。 Mason and Chelsea were so cute and secretly in love with each other。 Overall Rating: 5/5! Loved this story! Heat: (Kissing Only) Age suggestion: 14+ Also did I mention I can't WAIT for the SHOW? I am dying and can't wait for a trailer or something!?! I know I'm being annoying but this is one of my favorite series to get turned into a TV SERIES?? 。。。more

This story is super cute, funny, and has all the swoon! But what else would you expect from an Emma St Clair book? 😜Always a joy to read! I love Mason and Chelsea! This fits into this series very well with strong characters, fun, quirkiness, humour, connections, chemistry, friendships, family and love and made for a good read for this time of year。 I am voluntarily leaving this review after receiving an ARC。

I had read the original novella length book by the same title before this latest update。 I really enjoyed the extra content that was added to the story。We get a glimpse of some of our favorite Sheetcake characters in this story。 That's an added bonus to the fun story that belongs to Chelsea and Mason。The humor is signature Emma St Clair。 We have more animal related follies and crazy dates。 I really enjoyed this story。Thank you to the author for the advanced complimentary copy of the book。 I am h I had read the original novella length book by the same title before this latest update。 I really enjoyed the extra content that was added to the story。We get a glimpse of some of our favorite Sheetcake characters in this story。 That's an added bonus to the fun story that belongs to Chelsea and Mason。The humor is signature Emma St Clair。 We have more animal related follies and crazy dates。 I really enjoyed this story。Thank you to the author for the advanced complimentary copy of the book。 I am happily and voluntarily leaving my honest review。 。。。more

This was a slightly longer than average novella taking place in the same world as Emma's Love Clichés series, but it is not necessary to read that series first in order to enjoy this story, since those characters only appear in the background in a few scenes。 There is even a tie-in at the end to Emma's Sheet Cake series, which had me SCREAMING, since it alluded to a pairing with my favorite character of a certain age ✨swoons✨。 Chelsea has long carried a torch for her older brother John's best fr This was a slightly longer than average novella taking place in the same world as Emma's Love Clichés series, but it is not necessary to read that series first in order to enjoy this story, since those characters only appear in the background in a few scenes。 There is even a tie-in at the end to Emma's Sheet Cake series, which had me SCREAMING, since it alluded to a pairing with my favorite character of a certain age ✨swoons✨。 Chelsea has long carried a torch for her older brother John's best friend Mason, but has never let her feelings be known because of John's overbearing protectiveness。 When John is sent on work assignment to Spain for 6 months, he allows Chelsea to stay in his cushy loft apartment on the condition that he will call in a favor in the future。 Unbeknownst to her, he also promised the same thing to Mason, and they find themselves unlikely roommates。 Mason has also had feelings for Chelsea, but was afraid to pursue them because John and Chelsea, along with their mother, had pretty much adopted him into their family。 John decides to call in his favors, and demands that Chelsea go on a set of three blind dates of his choosing, and that Mason should act in the role of older brother in his absence to make sure the men know their place。 Horrified, but unwilling to break their promises, they go along with the plan, and Chelsea goes on the disastrous dates。 John had a larger plan all along, but he was so frustratingly overbearing that I just wanted to shake him! Chelsea was a cute FMC but I really loved Mason and his sweet gestures to show her slowly that he thought of her as more than a little sister。 This was a perfect read taking place in the time period between Christmas and New Year's and connects the Love Clichés and Sheet Cake series together perfectly。 💘 Thank you so much to Emma St 。 Clair for a copy of Falling for Your Brother's Best Friend to review! 。。。more

I was bummed when this Novella wasn't available when I read the rest of the series, but I'm SUPER happy it was re-released less than a month later。。。 Such a cute story about Chelsea and Mason! Or will they finally take a chance to be together? Brother's Best Friend is my favorite romance trope so I was so excited when this was re-released for the holidays。 Plus I have been reading the series all year & just happened to be at this exact spot when it was released。 Perfect timing! I loved this story。 It somewhat echoes Falling For Your Best Friend with the three dates & all of the quirky fun & laughs surrounding them。 I liked the crossover between the two books as well。 Plus if you haven't read the series, Emma put the overlapping chapters from Falling For Your Best Friend at the end of the book。 Mason was seriously just the best & because of his family issues, I totally understand where he was coming from。 This was definitely a twist on your typical brother's best friend trope。 I really liked the twist for a Christmas story but not as much for the trope itself mainly because what I love about that trope is how much the brother is against it。 The chemistry between Chelsea & Mason was sizzling & I loved every minute of it。 I wish that the story had led up to Christmas a little more instead of it being more of an after Christmas story but I like that we still got some Christmas traditions。 All in all, this was really funny & the romance was fantastic。 Highly recommend! 。。。more

I really enjoyed their dynamic and sweetness。 Pick this one up for a quick and adorable Christmas read! 。。。more

There was also so great discussion of boundaries and handling toxic relationships。 My only complaint was that the meddling brother didn't actually acknowledge his actions were manipulative and controling - past and present - regardless of his right intentions and didn't get help for what was clearly a negative coping mechanism for his dad's death。 Yes the MCs made the right decisions, set healthy boundaries, and managed to prank him, I just wish he had actually said he was wrong。 But I think that's a personal thing because I'm a counselor and manipulation is an issue that REALLY bothers me 😂 Otherwise this is fabulous and fun, perfect for this time of year and fans of the series! 。。。more

This is a super cute, quick, holiday-ish read! Although the time line of most of the story technically takes place after Christmas, Chelsea’s family tradition is to keep the tree up until New Years。 So this is the perfect book for any time in December!Gah, the mutual pining and lead up in this one is just so perfect。 Forced proximity is one of my favorite tropes and it didn’t disappoint in this one either! This love story is sweet, light-hearted, and will leave you with a smile on your face!Read This is a super cute, quick, holiday-ish read! WOW!! This book is absolutely AMAZING, it had me laughing out loud in the first chapter and it didn’t stop there。 I love this story, the crazy dates that Chelsea goes on, her crazy schemes that her brother John comes up with, it is all so funny。 And boy, does Mason say the most swoony and wonderful things, what a dream man。 The comedy and chemistry in this book are the best! This series is the best! A must read!
